My portfolio is an investigation on the beautiful connection between humans and water. Some of my happiest memories growing up have been in some sort of body of water, engaging in swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, etc. Each of my paintings is inspired by my personal photographs that I have taken throughout my life. In this series of paintings my goal is to depict the powerful and inspiring connection I have with water, as well as reminisce on some of my most cherished memories. The majority of my paintings are created with oil and acrylic paint, but I have also experimented with oil pastels, mixed media, and colored pencil. I am glad I chose to study this connection because it has allowed me to utilize some of my personal photos and transform them into something more artistic and intriguing.
